Nowadays it is accepted worldwide that health of mind and body are connected. We need to nurture both to sustain wellbeing. We also need to nurture our spirit and take care of ourselves. Disregard or neglect in any of these areas will have a huge negative impact on our lives. As we strive for recovery we try to leave behind destructive thought patterns and behaviours and create tools to enhance life. Recovery means to live our best possible life.

We need to be able to listen and be empathic in order to connect and communicate with other people.
Compassion is a key component as we strive for recovery. It changes how we see ourselves; how we view other people and how we assess life situations.
We need to learn about nutrition and how best to nourish our body.
Do something creative. Enjoy colour, enjoy nature, play an instrument, write a poem, design clothes, learn to knit,do something different with hair or nails.
As we practice being in the present moment; we let go of our past and stop feeling anxious about the future. When we remain calm we are more in control.
